Candle Care & Use

How long do these candles burn?

Each candle offers an approximate burn time of up to 55 hours when cared for properly. Factors such as wick trimming, room temperature, and drafts can affect total burn duration.

How should I care for my candle?

• First burn: Allow the wax to melt fully to the container edges to set an even burn pattern.
• Wick care: Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each use for a steady, clean flame.
• Storage: Keep candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

What should I do if my candle isn’t burning evenly?

If tunneling or uneven burning occurs, allow the candle to burn until the melted wax reaches the edge of the container. This helps reset the melt pool over time.

How do I extinguish the candle safely?

For the cleanest finish, use a candle snuffer or gently dip the wick into the melted wax to avoid smoke. Blowing out the flame directly may cause soot or wax splatter.

Can I use these candles outdoors?

Yes, but they are best enjoyed indoors. If used outdoors, place them in a sheltered area since wind and outdoor conditions can affect the flame and burn quality.

Do these candles have added fragrance?

Yes. Each candle is infused with carefully chosen, phthalate-free fragrance oils that complement the natural aroma of coconut wax without overwhelming the senses.

Do your candles have strong scents?

Our candles are designed with a balanced scent throw—filling a room beautifully without being overpowering. The fragrance is luxurious, soft, and intentional.

Are these candles eco-friendly?

Absolutely. We use a sustainable coconut wax blend paired with FSC-certified wooden wicks, offering an eco-conscious burn.

What makes a wooden wick candle different?

Wooden wicks create a gentle crackling sound, a warm glow, and help distribute heat more evenly—elevating the burn experience.

How can I prevent soot buildup?

• Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn.
• Burn in a draft-free environment.
• Allow the wax to melt to the container’s edge each time to prevent tunneling and soot.

Will there be any inconsistencies with my candles?

Yes. Since each candle is hand-poured in small batches, slight variations in appearance may occur. These natural differences are part of the artisanal process and do not affect the fragrance, burn time, or quality.

 

Safety & Special Use

Are these candles suitable for massage?

Our wooden wick coconut wax blend candles are created primarily for ambiance and aromatherapy. They are not formulated to be used as  massage / lotion candles. Massage candles have a lower percentage of fragrance which makes it skin-safe. If you choose to use the melted wax on skin, always test a small amount first to ensure it’s at a safe temperature and suitable for your skin. We may add massage candles later, but for now our candles are not to be used as such.
